An ocean of sand
Full of silvery
Golden sand
Seems to be inviting

Longing to hold 
A fistful of life
I try to hold sand 
In my hands

Life seems to be
Slipping from my hands
Momentarily
Getting desperate
I open my fist

Suddenly, I visualize 
A particle of sand
Stuck in midst of my palm

The moments that 
Slipped from my life
Were never mine

Moment of my life is 
The sole particle of sand
That still remains
United with me
Glittering
Stuck in midst of my palm
