  Pipa Greets The Songs of Saint Pipa Translated from Old Rajasthani by RUPALI SAINI Rao Pipa, popularly known as Saint Pipa today, was the king of Gagrongarh, Jhalawar district in Rajasthan. Emerging from a royal background, renounced all luxeries to become an ascetic. One of the twelve prominent disciples of Guru Ramananda, Saint Pipa was a contemporary of Saint Kabir and Saint Ravidas.  Saint Pipa's verses, presented in this collection, echo the eternal principles of spirituality and devotion; s aying things that are elusive, non-manifest for ordinary mind…but glimpsed fleetingly by a soul, half-mystic, half lyrical…in trance!
