Distaff

Distaff

Are like clock

You might refute

But this is absolutely true

keep moving whole day

keep moving whole night

Like tick tick tick tick of clock

Moving unwillingly in spite of  discord

Childhood to youth, youth to mature age

keep on moving till ripe age

Nothing is of own

keep on moving like machine

keep on moving like clock

Remain tied to the stake

To which tied in childhood

Wanted to spend youthful days

In own accord, but could not

Her knot was tied to a squidgy fellow

A fellow that was beyond her liking

About whom she does not know anything

And is sent with him

Then begins tick tick, dissension and discord

Just keep on moving like clock

Depreciating and depreciating

Like a clock and then one day

Comes to a stand still.

That is all about her

Is this  her destiny

To keep on dancing to tunes of others.
