OLD FORT

OLD FORT

  ***********

Whenever we mention 'Old Fort'

 Military equipment in the Museum

Fetches in our vision

Terrific picture of war

Though this Painting is old

But its zerox is hanging

At so many places

On walls of various countries

Canons, guns, bombs, hand- grenades

Are not non-existent still

Wars are still fought

Via Atom bombs, missiles, tankers

Fighter planes, warriors, sectarians

Secessionists, terrorists

And by merchant of hatred

The Earth is facing agony of destruction

It is moaning

Because its green attire is

Getting blood-stained

Iran, Iraq, China, Taiwan

North Korea, South Korea

Ajarbejan, Armenia

India-China, India-Pakistan

Russia-Ukraine, Israel -Philistine

There is a long history of wars

Wars are waged and will continue to be waged

Until, we confess the truth that

God is one

In the name of religion

In the name of country

In the name of caste

Wars are being fought

Whereas, no religion teaches

Bloodshed

Forcibly down-trodding women- empowerment

Crushing tender flowers with boots

Flowing rivers of blood

No Scripture has ever been written

With ink of blood

Uncle Sam! Why don't you teach

Lesson of human-values to devils

Till how long

Shrieks of innocent masses

Will keep tearing ear-drums of God

Sitting in Heaven?

When will tranquility be released

From closed cellars

When will love shower like rain

Coming out of heights of sky?

Tell me Uncle Sam

Usher something, do something.
