DREAMS OF FATHER SITTING ON FOOTPATH : My English transversion of Rajasthani Poem of Poet Jitendra Kumar Soni

JITENDRA KUMAR SONI

DREAMS OF FATHER SITTING ON FOOTPATH

In mid of road

Sitting on footpath

Dreams of father

Turned into bricks

This whole thought process

Absorbed into thought of a room

After, a room is built

Her young daughters

Clad in worn out clothes

Won't be visible to anybody

It won't be visible to anybody

That they satisfy their hunger

By drinking water only.

Roofs and walls

Can hide their

Many miseries

People dwelling in palaces

Will never gather this notion

Worth of four walls

With roof overhead

Can be appreciated by

An old father only

Sitting under canopy of sky.
