OWN PATH

 OWN PATH

With own cycles

Carrying school bags on their back

Are moving girls

On roads

Leading from home

To schools and colleges

The girls abound on roads

The bag is heavy

But not so heavy

That it seems burden to them

Only we are burden for them

We never wish that

Girls cross threshold of their homes

And move on path of progress

Not only whimsical eyes

We also chain them with traditions

But, the feet

That have learnt to move forward.

Whatsoever, hurdle might face

Won't stop its pace.
