Thousand Colours 1

 Thousand Colours

****************

When did I say so

I never uttered these words--

You and me are one

But, your ears received narration

That was not mine

Then, how could it be my interpretation

It is requisite that

We become acquainted with the fact

That this World is a market

And wind en-wraps

Thousands of colours in it.

A short Rajasthani Poem by Reputed Literary Icon Late Sh. Sanwar Daiya Ji, translated into English with permission of his son Dr. Neeraj Daiya.
