I WAS DESERT

 I WAS DESERT
**************

You are not to be blamed

I myself was  desert

That absorbed

Your water

Maintaining relation with me

Was a bargain of losing self-identity

You retreated

Embracing constantly flowing water

You lived your life

Nurtured it

Addled it

But, what role did I perform?
