GIVE ME RIGHT TO CO-EXIST: MY ENGLISH TRANSVERSION OF NEPALI POEM BY BIIRBHADRA KARKIDHOLI

GIVE ME RIGHT TO CO-EXIST

*****************************

It is fine

You are a beautiful flower

Wherever, you bloom

You have your own Spring, but

Allow me to grow like a thorn

In any corner of your life

I will be elated with this much---elated.

It is fine

You are original road, wherever you move

Your destination is with you only, but

Let me stand like a *dhupi tree

In any corner of your life

It is acceptable to me.

It is fine

You are a solitary night on your own accord

Your aim persists with you, but

Inside your night

Let me be a glowworm

It is acceptable to me.

It is not that you are unaware

All through day and night--

Keep running

Problems!!

Sorrow and anguish !!

Becoming intolerable in bosom/ in heart

Actually, I wish--all this

Does not occur in your life

I am aware of the fact

Splashing in every rain

You tried to fall me off

You are also aware / the extent

When,  I reached in condition of falling

But under all these circumstances

Neither I am disgusted

Nor was ever disgusted,  never.

It is fine

You are *Ganga, pure and grand

Flow, keep flowing, in whatever way/ wherever

Your speed is with you only, but

But along with you

Give me right to be a bridge

Only be a bridge, only, be a bridge..!

*Dhupi  tree: fir tree

* Ganga : name of a sacred river
