CREATION
CREATION
The other day
I came across God
I conversed with Him
And was speechless after that
I asked Him
What happened
Are you not enjoying Heaven
That you came here
To inspect your
Heaven-like Earth
To inquire about condition of
Your 'Supreme' creation
Or you have visited to change
Taste of your heart.
Listening to this bitter truth
His eye shed a drop of tear
Which I held on my palm
And consumed it
It so happened that entire scenario changed
The rain that rained from my eyes
Rained continuously
Rivers flooded
Dams overflowed
Houses collapsed
Human-beings swayed in water
Lightning striking times again
Horrible hurricane
Birds, beasts and human-beings
Died carried in terrific sway of water
Corpses and corpses all-around
Agonized
My eyes continually shed tears
God and myself started drowning!
What did I observe the next moment?
God started to corrugate whole water
In his own eyes
By and by
Whole water of the Earth
Shrank in those large eyes.
Presently, we were standing
On wet earth
Marked with scene of
Destruction of Creation
God spoke softly
When vices increase
I control it like this only
I could not remain mum
I outburst
Is this your justice?
They were innocent
What was fault of that *Tulsi
In whose lap
Seed was sown?
What was fault of that pillar
On whose support building rested?
What was fault of that 'Annpurna'
Who was scared of even an insect?
What was fault of that bead of rosary
Who uttered your name whole day and night ?
What was fault of that pure water
Which was not touched by soil so far?
What was fault of that wet dew drop
Which has turned sixteen only?
What was fault of that *Champa
Which had just heaved a sigh of relief?
What was fault of that mature Banyan tree
Which was resting place for tired birds?
Tell me, O, God
What have you done?
I screamed
Hearing my scream
Again from His eyes
Fell a droplet of tear
And this time, I did not drink it
Dedicated to his feet
And, God lost in thoughts
Moved towards Heaven
And, I returned to my house
Turned into ruins.
