PRELUSION: MERGING WITH THE DIVINE

  PRELUSION

MERGING WITH THE DIVINE

After soulful thanks to Almighty for His choicest blessings for successful completion of 'Merging with the Divine’, my trans-verted Poetry Book in English, based on Hindi Poetry of Dr. Anju Dua Gemini, I would like to extend my heartiest thanks to global readers for constantly devouring my all literary works.

I have been treading literary corridors since several years and I have made my humble contribution to literature, composing poems in English, Hindi and Punjabi. Besides, I have trans-verted 23 books so far from Hindi, Rajasthani, Nepali and Punjabi into English as target language.

Perfection of translation is in the essence of poem written in any language, reaching to readers who are reading it in translated version. The purpose of translation is accomplished when becomes a means to create bonds of affinity through expression as well as picturesque effect of  words. It makes the world stronger for the true goal of peace, equality and bliss.

Merging with the Divine', is a compilation of several poetry books of Literary icon and critic Dr. Anju Dua Gemini.  All the spiritually tinged poems anthologized are focussed on existence of 'Divine Power; It is my humble effort to acquaint the literary world with poetic excellence of Dr. Anju Dua and strengthen bonds of affinity.

Love is a Universal phenomenon, whether it be physical or spiritual. To understand what is love, one has to dive deep in ocean of love, unquestioningly, unconditionally. Love is like eternal flame; once kindled, can not be extinguished. Poems of Dr. Anju Dua Gemini beautifully express depth of love, in a very simple and lucid language, that stirs our emotions, provokes our thought process to understand nature of true love.

Dr. Anju Dua Gemini has carved a distinct identity in literary corridors with her poems on 'Divinity'. Tinged with spiritualism, eternal love and deep philosophy of life, the poems are thought provoking and leave a deep impression on the mind of reader. She has a prophetic tone in her compositions. She is like a seer, who speaks less, but conveys a lot.

Poems from 'Ishwar Se Na Raz koi' very expressively present notion of 'Divinity'. Her marvellous poems are brief, profound, a deep meditation on the nature of existential of reality, of the interconnectivity of the universe. Nothing is hidden from God; all are well aware of this fact and still fail to discriminate between right and wrong. The thin line between right and wrong has been beautifully demarcated by Dr. Anju. Utter devotion towards God is not easy, because of  strayed mind. Focus is lacking. We fail to decide how to concentrate. The poet has tried her level best to guide to spirituality by her deep insightful poems.

In worldly journey, upsurge

In internal journey, deep landing

Ocean of love is fathomless

'Ego' never finds space in it

(Extracted from Poem 'Flow')

Poems from 'Sihran' abound in mysticism. Tinged with spiritualism and mystical tone, she has unfurled hidden mysteries of life. Delicate sentiments associated with uniting and separating and perpetual quest for eternal love are emphatically presented in short poems, portraying profound depth of love.

The eyes that are smeared with

Kohl of your name

The particles in which

You poured your music

The tongue on which

You placed your name

In that heart

You have lodged for ever.

( Poem: Lodging )

Poems extracted from 'Hang-over of Cutting Tea' is a beautiful bunch of pragmatic poems, indicating towards philosophy of line. In her prophetic tone, she expresses her views.

I am meditating

After a long race

I intend to lose myself

In my inner shell

Where vision moves to

My connection with myself

(Extracted from Poem (Be one)

Poems included in ' Journey of  Breaths' strike a balance between 'Divinity' and existing life situations, on physical as well as mental plain.

Poems extracted from 'Sadiyon Tak Shayad' raise question on problems of our generation.

Whenever we mention 'Old Fort'

 Military equipment in the Museum

Fetches in our vision

Terrific picture of war

Though this Painting is old

But its zerox is hanging

At so many places

On walls of various countries

(Extracted from 'Old Fort')

Her poems are not to be read only, but to be felt and intuitively grasped.

Just as composing verses or fiction require meticulous efforts on the part of creator to make it presentable, translation too demands utmost attention. The spirit of content has to be captured, keeping the beauty of both languages intact. I have tried my level best to retain the essence of original poems. I hope, you will enjoy these poems; reviews and comments from voracious readers of poetry are always a precious treasure for me.
