MY NAME/ MY POSSESSION: MY ENGLISH TRANSVERSION OF NEPALI POEM BY BIIRBHADRA KARKIDHOLI
MY NAME/MY POSSESSION
I am not going to lend
My hand to anybody
I need it for myself
I will not leave path
For anybody
To tread upon
I need it for myself
I won't think for anyone
I will contemplate
Only for myself
I won't like to
Die in embrace
Of anyone
I need my arms
To hug myself.
To snatchers of joy
I declare that
I need my happiness
For myself only
To those who defamed me
I declare that I need
My name for myself.
To those
Who deserted me
I proclaim
I need my own company
To those
Who have obliterated me
I assert that
My reveries
My each and every moment
I need
Only for myself.
