WORRIES IN TORRENTIAL RAIN

********************************

I am worried about my soil

My courtyard and my kitchen-garden

My abode will be constructed on my own soil

My existence will have to bloom

In my marigold and velvety flowers

I will have to be garlanded with flowers of existence

By my sisters and daughters

I am afraid of getting asleep

Lest any nightmares should follow!

I am able to distinguish

Aroma of my soil

From aroma of different types of soil.

I am worried about my own soil

Lest it mingles or anybody mingle

My soil with any other type of soil

Everyone is acquainted with

Uniqueness and significance  of my soil

So, this worry also persists

Lest  anybody  mingles chemical in

My very fertile fields.

When torrential rain follows

I am worried lest this fertile soil of my fields

Flows and mingles in field of others

Whosoever might be possessing

Our correct measures

We have to store our harvest in granaries

Measuring with that only

This sweat! This life-blood

Has not flown in vain

I am worried for

Getting released my mortgaged fields

And for preventing overflow of water

I  feel concern for

My courtyard, my boundaries.
