MY STATUS

I could not remain safe

In my own place

I could not narrate 

My anguish to myself


I could not dwell 

At my own abode

My own faith could not

Persist with me


I could not visualize my own dreams

In my sleep

I could not live here

In way of my own


I could not hum

My own tune, my own lyrics

I could not reach the other end

Treading on my own bridge.
