Bichoh:Hindi poem by Shakuntala Sharma English version: Rajni Chhabra

 SEPARATION

*************

Till horizon

Reached our vision

Awake.....half- awake

Our eyes

Wish to fly

To any extent

We had mutual trust

On support of each other

We took a very high flight

And faced reproach too

Our wings collapsed

And we too

Fluttered

That chain ended

Aromatic dreams

Turned into

Sores of anguish

Exuded

Have you still concealed

That ruby of heart

I catch glimpse of

Its luster

At times.
