WHO AM I?

 I crashed here a long ago

Before you would know
Just when the planet was born
There was no moon and the sun was red
With constant storms overhead
Huge creatures roamed the land
There was not much of anything
To understand
Then one day
The comet came
Collided
Things were never
The same
The planets axis changed
The big creatures
Fell to the
Ground
With death all around
The little ones stood
Tall
The sun turned yellow
And the rain
Did fall
I was here through it
All
Gardens grew
Into the this place
Brand new
Soon oceans rose
And birds flew
I've been here all along
Watching
It all rearrange
Who am I
Don't you know
I'm mother earth
Letting my children
Grow
