Trividha :Hindi poem by Shakuntala Sharma English version: Rajni Chhabra

THREE MANIFESTATIONS

**************************

I agree

That

In your heart

Dwells a river of

Affection and affinity

Like

Transparent cool water

But when confronted

By my principles

Why you transform into

Solid ice?

You heart always used to sway

Your heart always used to upspring

Under impact of tide of perfection

Puddled and churned

Jumpy cool drops

Used to touch me

In those refreshing moments

You used to freshen up me

In those very moments

I longed to see

Attitude of life

I wished ...to get these showers continually

I kept on eradicating

Heat and fatigue

With droplets getting from distance

I wish

Your stance of ice melts

With heat of my principles

But continually flowing river

Never

Turns into vapour

Never evaporates!
