 AN OFFICE-GOING WOMAN

********************************
If alarm of five a.m. 
Is missed
Hurriedly
After freshening up
Taking bath
With full pace
Gets buy in cooking
An office-going woman

Managing tea, breakfast
And lunch
If gets late in
Completing all 
Daily chores
Without having breakfast
Combing her hair hurriedly
Holding blush-on and lipstick 
In her hands
And picking up her bag
She moves out of home
Panting 
An office-going woman


Placing her bag on table
She recalls
Tiffin is left at home
Amidst  hurry
Somebody might fetch tiffin for me
Waiting and waiting
At end of working-day
Reaches back home
An office-going woman

If by any chance
Maid has not turned up
Then soon after coming back
She starts rubbing utensils
Staring at her
Lying since morning.
This crazy woman.
