SPARROW : A RAJASTHANI POEM BY ANKITA KAGADANSH: ENGLISH TRANSLATION BY RAJNI CHHABRA

 From one branch

To another

Sparrow hops

Catches and kills insects

Flies in sky

Lands on

Tender branch

She is not scared of

Breaking of that branch

She has full faith

In her vision

And in her wings

Mother  trained her for flight

Eyes and wings rare

Gifted by fate

But guts are

Developed by sparrow

On her own

Flies herself

Kills insects

Sparrow flies with her guts!
