OBSERVING MA WHILE GOING TO OPERATION THEATRE


I was shuddering with fear

When my mother was moving

 To operation- theatre

Without any apparent tension

Without caring for her ailment

But, still she keeps giving instructions

Reminding her to keep milk in fridge

Telling her to set curds from milk

Putting water daily in plant of Tulsi

Caring about feeding grains to sparrows

Keeping watch on putting water in pot for birds

Worrying about giving roti to cow and dog timely


This is meaning of 

Sanctity of domesticity of a woman

A woman who is engaged in

Making home better than temple

Can not go her ultimate journey easily

Not feel attached to 

Her jewellery and costumes

She stucks again

And diverts herself 

In taking utter care of her home

Gets occupied in utilizing left-over cereals

Her vision gets struck on calendar

To notice upcoming auspicious dates and festivals

 The woman by birth

 Is attached with a 'Horse-blinder'

On this earth.
