FLY HIGH

Mother taught me

Fly

Fly with full vigour

Fly in such a way that

You can view world and

Entire world sees you 

Nobody is going to restrain you

Except you yourself.

Just as birds measure

Vast sky and entire earth

Scribble your name

In hues of vibgyor

Till where vision reaches

Nobody is going to restrain you

Except you yourself.

Then one fateful day

Without preparing me

Sent me to my in-laws

Just as kite is tied with thread

Now mother does not instruct me

What to do with these wings?

Perhaps, she, too, knows

Plenty of people are here

To restrict me

Except myself.
