ROSE: A RAJASTHANI POEM BY ABHILASHA PAREEK; ENGLISH TRANSLATION BY RAJNI CHHABRA

ROSE

******

O! Rose

You tell me....

How do you bloom daily

How do you embellish daily

How do you keep smiling daily

How do you look more refined daily

Though you know very well

You will wither away

After two days

Your rosy-pink petals

Will wither one by one

Your fragrance, your coolness

Is evanescent daily

Still

You bloom daily

You  prettify yourself daily

You look more charming daily

You keep on smiling daily.

Glancing at me, then smilingly replies

That rose addressing me

I bloom, prettify, smile

And become more refined

Everyday

Because, by each and every petal

I shed my fragrance and coolness

I keep alive my smile

For this reason

I bloom daily

I prettify myself daily

And become more refined daily.

Beautiful if I live but for one smile I've succeeded

  3. Brilliant poetic motivation to be a caring and selfless sharing human alike Rose flower. Which distributes the fragrance and coolness in natural mode without any bias to spread smiles and grows a new each day in blossoming mode with new attractive petals
