NEELAM PAREEK

 NEELAM PAREEK

BUD OF AFFECTION

*******************

Rooted since years

In scorching heat

Of a deserted field was a

Foliage -devoid tree

That was on verge of

Turning into a stump

With a myriad -touch

Cloud of love

Caressed leaf-less tree

With sway of wind

Touched nectar-like

Droplets of love

And sprouted

A little sapling of love

But, prior to it

That leaves of love

Flourished

On that sapling

And it matured into plant

Storm of time

Moved so ruthlessly

That it uprooted utterly

Sapling of love

Withered before maturing.

 Where Is My Sky?

****************

Maa!

You used to tell me

Daughters are like chirpers

They fly away one day

But Maa

Birds fly freely

In vast sky

If I am a bird

Where is my

Share of the sky?
