I Am Not Scared of Kim Jong, Fence ; Rajasthani Poems of B.L Paras : English Translation by Rajni Chhabra
POEMS OF B.L. Paras
I Am Not Scared of Kim Jong
I Am Not Scared of Kim Jong
Whole world trembles
In awe of name of
Kim Jong of North Korea
Who know, when mania
Dominates his head
And he starts diffusing
Atom bombs
In blink of an eye
Silicon Valley to
Burz Khalifa
Turn worse than
Hiroshima and Nagasaki
But, I know some persons
Who are more dangerous
Than Kim Jong
They are not eqipped with
Atom bombs
But they are possessed by birth
With deadly weapon of high caste.
( You can call it 'Brahmastra'
Because they claim to have born
From mouth and hands of Brahma)
They get impure
By our sheer touch
Doors of their temples
Never allow us entry
They can not tolerate
Our riding on horse
As a bridegroom
Right from fields and farms
River and drains
Till streets and mohallas
They are equipped with
Communal terror
They murder us everyday
With this weapon of castism
I am telling the truth
That, I am not scared of Kim Jong.
Fence
*****
I loved you immensely
In my heart
Daily sprouted
Saplings of love
Tossing whole night in bad
I used to scribble poems
Reveling my heart
But
I never dared to ask you
'' Will you marry me"?
Why ?
Because, in between us was
Thorny fence of caste.
