You expect from me

To versify poems on love

Poems that please your heart

Poems that generate

Seeds of love

And you are

 Drenched with love


In this life

Full of complexities

How can I compose 

Such a type of poem


How can I picturize

Aspirations of your heart

How can I feel

Enchanting beauty of

This spring  of love

And its murmuring sound

When stretching around me is

Fathomless, unmeasurable misery

When around me are

Crying starving infants

Employment is no longer available 

To parents, labourers on daily wages

They are troubled by illness

Its hard to breathe for

Single earning member of home

Shattering economy is breaking

Strings of heart

Then, how can I feel love

How can I compose

Lyrics of love and affection.



YOU IMPART MEANING

I implore you!

You impart meaning to

My raw words

My immature feelings

You can  engrave in poems

My anguish

My love

My dreams

You scribble on paper


I know that you apprehend 

Conflicts causing upheaval

In inner cores of my heart

And struggle 

Persisting in my heart


Only this much is my request

I plead you 

To impart me my identity.
