Unquenched, Disparities , Tide of Time:  Rajasthani Poems of Navneet Pandey

 UNQUENCHED

**************

I was extremely thirsty

You were carrying

On your head

Pitcher filled with

Cool water

Filled to the brim

Only if I could get

A handful of water!

I would have survived

DISPARITIES

************

You told that

Law has been enacted

Now disparities between

You and me

Have come to an end

You are telling the truth

But, you are familiar with the fact

Disparities exist and will

Continue so for ever

No matter, how many laws are enacted

In spite of being a pigeon

White pigeon will be identified as white

And grey pigeon will be

Identified as grey pigeon.

TIDE OF TIME

*************

Clouds that are

Full of water

Come occasionally

Without roaring

Without creating noise

And shower rain in plenty

Turn stumps into green trees

Clouds that are

Half -filled with water

Hollow from within

Roar and produce

Deafening noise

Make a show off

And misguide everyone

They keep on appearing

On and off

But don't oblige anyone

Still, their view

Enchants all

They only are

Praised in gatherings

What is in our hands

Tide of time is against us

Gracious persons face humiliation

And those who are devoid of virtues

Dominate and govern.

  1. Poem titled DISPARITIES is reminding me of a dialogue in Animal Farm " All are equal, but some are more equal."

  2. Mind blowing thought provoking poem on acts of greedy egoist and cunning persons managing affairs with partisan attitudes
