HOME, WORLD,OWN WORLD: RAJASTHANI POEMS OF RITU PRIYA; ENGLISH TRANSVERSION BY RAJNI CHHABRA

ENGLISH TRANSVERSION OF RAJASTHANI POEMS OF RITU PRIYA BY RAJNI CHHABRA

 HOME

Today

I visited  my old locality

I viewed over- there

My small house

Behind whose doors

I used to hide myself

So often

I kept on gazing at my house

Till very long

Reviving my past

God know how

Tears starting abruptly

 Flowing my eyes

I thought

Someday, I will buy this house

And will hand over the key

To my father

This house was

Dream of my father

Which he sold out

For sake of fulfilling

My dreams.

2.

Departing from home

Sparrow moved on

For her new abode

She not only left behind

Her birth-place

Left behind were

Her parents

Siblings

Friends

And accumulating her

All memories

She moved on to fit herself

In frame of a new home

World

******

I am human -being

But who acclaims that

I am the best of all living-beings

At least, I never assert so

All the animals

Associated with this earth

Are familiar with language of love

But, this human species

Why dwells in

Own isolated world

OWN WORLD

***************

All play- ways of children

Singing-dancing of young girls

Endless conversation of elders

Have been gobbled now

By box of glass

And whatever chance was left

Has been overpowered by mobile

These days

Everybody is self occupied

Entire world

Dwells in its own world
